Analysing Tame Impala's Website

This is my chosen artist's website. I chose it because I really like the format, the colour and as it it links well to the 'mood' I want in mine (which is clear as it is the same artist that I chose).

The main page is extremely interesting because of the unconventional format. The black background and white lettering makes the pictures really stand out and reflect the psychedelic rock genre. I thought this was interesting therefore I decided to apply this idea to my own website.

By clicking 'Tours' it takes you to a list of tours that they have completed and will also do. If you click, it takes you to the contact page where you can buy the tickets. In Justin Timberlake's and Tame Impala's website this has been something that has been clear to be a convention; to make their income bigger and make their artist more known and interactive.

Like in Justin Timberlake's website, Tame Impala also has a merchandise page to get them more recognised and market their music. This is also important as the followers of these musical artists will feel connected in more ways; like through fashion, rather than only music.

At last there is a contact page with links to other sites and links to buy the merchandise. This cross-media convergence therefore avoids Gaunttlet Theory's 'Walled Garden' effect, making it a more successful website.
